Terms of Service

These terms govern your subscription to and use of The Austin Newsletter. By subscribing, you agree to them. Written plainly so you can actually read them.

Acceptance

By subscribing to the newsletter or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please unsubscribe or stop using the site.

The service

The Austin Newsletter is a weekly editorial publication delivered by email and posted on theaustinnewsletter.com. It covers events, food, and news in Austin, Texas. Operated by The Austin Newsletter LLC (Texas).

Your use of the service

You may read, share, and link to our content for personal use. You may not republish, repackage, or commercialize our content without written permission. You may not scrape, spam, or attempt to disrupt the service. You may not impersonate other readers or attempt to access subscriber accounts that are not yours.

Intellectual property

Editorial content (articles, photos commissioned by us, and the design system) is owned by The Austin Newsletter LLC unless attributed otherwise. Reader submissions (replies, comments) remain owned by you, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to quote or reference your submission in future editorial content, with attribution unless you request otherwise.

Disclaimers

Editorial recommendations are personal opinions, not professional advice. Restaurant hours and event times can change after we publish. Confirm directly with venues before your visit. We are not responsible for changes made by third-party businesses or organizers after we publish.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Austin Newsletter LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the service in the previous 12 months. The newsletter is free, so practically speaking that limit is zero.

Termination

You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every issue. We reserve the right to remove subscribers who violate these terms (spam, abuse, scraping). Termination does not waive any rights or obligations that arose before termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Travis County, Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The revised date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter at least 30 days before they take effect.
