Questions, answered

Who can submit a dish?

Anyone who runs or works at an Austin restaurant, food truck, bakery, or bar. Owners, chefs, managers, whoever holds the phone.

What does it cost?

Nothing. There is no fee and no catch. We feature one great dish a week because it makes the newsletter better, and the feature is our thank-you for the photo.

What photo should I send?

One great shot of one dish. Natural light beats flash, and the plate beats the room. A sharp phone photo is plenty, and a professional shot is welcome.

What about photo rights and credit?

By submitting, you confirm you have the rights to the photo and are okay with us featuring it. Every photo runs with credit, and a photographer credit links wherever you point it.

When will I hear back?

If your dish is picked, Carissa emails you before it runs. We cannot feature every submission, but a person reads every one.
