The Austin pools and splash pads still open this fall.

15 city pools and splash pads still open into October, with the answers that decide the afternoon: when it opens, what it costs, which day it is shut, and whether there is somewhere for a toddler to splash. 10 of them have a splash pad or a wading pool.

Each row was checked against its own page on the city’s parks site, or the Pease Park Conservancy’s, on the date stamped under it. The city’s open pool dataset was the starting list and nothing more: where it disagreed with a pool’s own page, the page won. Where two city pages disagree with each other, both are printed.

city splash pads

The 9 splash pads on this sheet run through October 31, 2026, and the city pads close at 6 p.m. instead of 8 from October 1. The pools that charge entry charge it through the end of October.

Not on this sheet, and why

The places people look for that are not open this fall, each with the reason its own page gives.

  • Liz Carpenter Splash Pad. Its page says it is closed until further notice for repairs after its pump room flooded.

    austintexas.gov

  • Rosewood Splash Pad. Its own page says closed for repairs, while the citywide pools page still lists it as open. The sheet goes with the pad’s own page.

    austintexas.gov · austintexas.gov

  • Little Stacy Wading Pool and the 23 other seasonal pools the city marks closed. Closed for the season. Little Stacy’s page gives August 16 as its last day.
