How this list is made

Every patio here started as public Google data, which is messier than you would think. Google insisted that gas station delis, grocery store bakery counters, and 7-Elevens were restaurants, so those came out. We cut the chains, the closures, and the duplicate locations too, then ranked what was left by our own judgment alongside the ratings and review counts.

The list is free. The Google ratings appear once you unlock it, so the numbers reach readers, not scrapers.
