Karaoke in Austin: where to sing tonight, by night and by the room.
For karaoke tonight, Ego’s and The Common Interest run a stage every night; for a private room, book Hi Tunes, K-Pub, Banjoo, or Holey Moley.
Ego’s, at 510 S. Congress Ave., runs karaoke every night from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., and The Common Interest, at 8440 Burnet Road, opens its main stage at 8 p.m. every night except Friday, when singing starts at 7. Punch Bowl Social at The Domain adds a karaoke night on Fridays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Karaoke Underground, a punk and indie karaoke show, plays Knomad Bar on the first Saturday of the month. For a private room by the hour, K-Pub on Ranch Road 620 starts at $25 for up to three people, Hi Tunes on W. Anderson Lane starts at $30 for up to five and lets you bring your own drinks, and The Common Interest, Banjoo, Holey Moley, and The Highball have rooms too. Every night, time, and price here comes from the venue’s or host’s own page or social profile, checked Oct. 30, 2026, and every pick is inside Austin’s city limits. Nothing here is ranked.

Which bars put singers on a stage each night, and how the private rooms line up, from the same venue and host pages as the picks below. It adds no new facts, and every time is Austin time.
Ego’s and The Common Interest run stage karaoke every night of the week, and Punch Bowl Social at The Domain adds Fridays. Hi Tunes, K-Pub, and Banjoo close on Mondays, so Monday has the fewest private rooms open.

Age and ID. The Common Interest is 21 and up and checks ID, and The Highball’s karaoke rooms are strictly 21 and up. Holey Moley is 21 and up from 8 p.m., and Punch Bowl Social at The Domain is 21 and up after 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Hi Tunes sets no age limit as long as no one brings alcohol, and if anyone does, everyone in the room must be 21 or older.
Drinks. Hi Tunes lets you bring your own drinks and food, and it sells soft drinks but no alcohol. The Common Interest does not permit outside alcohol, Holey Moley is not BYOB, and Banjoo and The Highball allow no outside food or drinks.
Holding a spot. The Common Interest holds main-room tables for a non-refundable $25 per 10 people, but not past 8 p.m. Its private rooms book two weeks to two months ahead, and Hi Tunes takes reservations up to a month out.
One thing worth rearranging a weekend for, with the timing, the cost, and the parking notes, on Thursday mornings. Free, from Carissa.

- S. Congress Ave. · every night · 8 p.m.-2 a.m.01
Ego’s
Ego’s, at 510 S. Congress Ave., runs karaoke every night from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., according to its own Instagram profile. That makes it the simplest answer for any night of the week, including Monday, when three of the private-room places on this list are closed. Its profile does not list a cover charge or how sign-ups work, so neither is given here. For more bars sorted by the kind of night, see the best bars in Austin guide.

The Common Interest
The facts: The Common Interest, at 8440 Burnet Road, calls itself Austin’s original karaoke bar and runs main stage karaoke starting at 8 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and at 7 p.m. on Fridays. It is open 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends, with a full bar and a late-night kitchen, and it is 21 and up and checks ID. It also rents private rooms: small rooms hold up to 12 people for $35 an hour, and the large room holds up to 30 for $65 an hour, each with a two-hour minimum on weekends. To book one, fill out the form on its site or call (512) 500-7808; it holds the room with a credit card, and the booking is not confirmed until a staff member reaches out. Small rooms need 48 hours’ notice to cancel, the large room needs a week for Fridays and Saturdays, and no-shows pay the full rate.
My read: It is one of two picks here with both a public stage and private rooms, and of those two, the only one whose stage runs every night. Its rooms book two weeks to two months ahead, so it rewards planning.

Punch Bowl Social at The Domain
Punch Bowl Social, at 11310 Domain Drive, Suite 100, lists a weekly karaoke night on Fridays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., which it describes as an open mic night with a free RSVP. The same location has a private karaoke room alongside bowling, darts, and arcade games, listed at $40 an hour for one to four people and $60 an hour for five or more, with a booking link on the same page. It is open 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and on those two nights it is open to all ages until 10 p.m. and 21 and up after that. Parking in The Domain is free, and valet is $12 Thursday through Sunday. For where to eat before or after, see the Domain restaurants guide.

Karaoke Underground at Knomad Bar
The facts: Karaoke Underground is a punk and indie rock karaoke show that its hosts, Hannah and Kaleb, have run since 2004, with a song list of 1,857 songs as of Oct. 3, 2026, from Black Flag and Bikini Kill to Belle & Sebastian and Big Thief. Its standing night is a First Saturdays series at Knomad Bar, the neighborhood bar at 1213 Corona Drive in Windsor Park, and the show list on its home page has Nov. 7 and Dec. 5, 2026, and Jan. 2, 2027, there. Knomad’s own events page has the Nov. 7 show from 8 to 11:59 p.m. The show also plays other bars now and then, including a Nov. 13 date at Stoney’s Good Time Ranch, so check its home page before you go.
My read: For singers whose songs are missing from a standard karaoke catalog, since this list is built around punk and indie. It is one night a month, so it is a plan to make, not a fallback. For the rest of this weekend’s plans, see things to do in Austin this weekend.

Walk-ins can rent for one hour; reservations run at least two hours, can be made up to a month ahead by calling or texting 512-454-0911 or by email, and are confirmed only when Hi Tunes calls, texts, or emails back. You can bring your own drinks, alcoholic or not, and your own food, and it sells soft drinks but no alcohol. It is closed Mondays, open 6 p.m. to midnight Tuesday through Thursday and on Sunday, and 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and parties need to arrive at least an hour and a half before closing. Its catalog covers songs from English-speaking countries, Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia, plus Spanish and European songs.
My read: For a group that wants its own room and its own drinks, and for a group with someone under 21, since Hi Tunes sets no age limit when no one brings alcohol.

The facts: Banjoo, at 5222 Burnet Road, Unit 500, is a Korean restaurant and full bar with craft soju cocktails and private karaoke rooms, open 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday and closed Mondays. Rooms are reserved through its karaoke page, and cancellations need at least 12 hours’ notice or a no-show fee applies. It is not BYOB: outside food and drinks are not allowed, and food and drinks are sold during your session. Its karaoke page’s booking widget lists two small rooms at $40 an hour for up to five people (10 at most) and a large room at $80 an hour for up to 10 (18 at most), plus $5 for each additional guest, and its weekend bookings are two-hour blocks: $80 for a small room and $160 for the large one.

- E. Fourth St. · rooms $80-$100 an hour · 21+ from 8 p.m.08
Holey Moley
The facts: Holey Moley, the mini golf bar at 807 E. Fourth St., just east of downtown, rents private karaoke rooms for $80 for one hour or $160 for two Monday through Wednesday, and $100 for one hour or $200 for two Thursday through Sunday. It lists more than 200 songs, and food and drinks can be ordered to the room. From 8 p.m., everyone entering must be 21 or older with valid ID; before that, children under 13 must stay with an adult. It does not refund or cancel bookings, but it will move them to another time or date, and it is not BYOB. It has a small lot behind the building, plus metered street parking and paid parking a block over on E. Fifth St.
My read: The highest posted hourly rate on this list, $100 Thursday through Sunday, so it suits a party with a budget more than a weeknight habit, with the mini golf course under the same roof. For more plans that keep you indoors, see the indoor things to do guide.

Before you book a karaoke room
- Book weekends early. The Common Interest says its rooms book two weeks to two months ahead, and Hi Tunes recommends reservations, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

- Read the cancellation terms. The Common Interest needs 48 hours for a small room and a week for its large room on Fridays and Saturdays, Banjoo needs 12 hours, Holey Moley reschedules but does not refund, and Hi Tunes charges the full reservation even if you leave early.

How this guide was checked
Every karaoke night, time, price, and rule here was read on Oct. 30, 2026, on the venue’s or host’s own website or social profile, and each pick links those pages. Ego’s street address comes from the Texas Comptroller’s mixed beverage records, since its Instagram profile does not list one. A bar whose karaoke we could not confirm on its own channels that day is left out, even when older lists include it, and so is any night a venue does not publish. Every address was checked against the City of Austin’s jurisdiction map, and all nine picks are inside the city limits. No venue paid or was contacted for this guide, and the picks are not ranked.
What we considered and didn’t include
The things we passed on are part of the value. Documented for editorial discipline.
- Canary RoostOlder lists call it a nightly karaoke bar, but its own web address now forwards to a Yelp page, and we found no karaoke schedule it publishes itself as of Oct. 30, 2026.
- Austin KaraokeOlder lists describe a private-room karaoke place by this name, but its web address did not load on Oct. 30, 2026, and we found no current rooms or prices on a channel of its own.
- Punch Bowl Social downtownOlder lists put karaoke rooms at a second, downtown location, but the chain’s own location list now shows only The Domain in Austin.
- Fairweather Cider’s karaoke roomOlder listings mention a private karaoke room at its taproom, but its website returned an error page on Oct. 30, 2026.
